'Witch Mountain' rises to top of range.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - 'Race To Witch Moutain' raced to No. 1 at the weekend box office, soaring past expectations with $25 million in ticket sales.
The sci-fi flick, starring Dwanye Johnson as a cab driver with a pair of ailen teenagers along for the ride, topped the superhero epic 'Watchmen', which made it's debut last week.
Analysts had predicted that 'Race To Witch Mountain' would earn $20 million or less, said Mark Zoradi, president of the Disney motion-picture group. Estimated ticket sales for Friday through yesterday (3/15) at U.S. and Canada theaters, according to Media By Numbers:
1. Race to Witch Mountain, $25 million 2. Watchmen, $18.1 million 3. The Last House on the Left, $14.7 million 4. Taken, $6.7 million 5. Madea Goes to Jail, $5.1 million 6. Slumdog Millionaire, $5 million 7. Paul Blart: Mall Cop, $3.1 million 8. He's Just Not That Into You, $2.9 million 9. Coraline, $2.7 million 10. Miss March, $2.3 million
Disney's family adventure "Race to Witch Mountain" raced to the top of the box office chart, beating Warner Bros. holdover "Watchmen." The remake of the classic franchise grossed $25 million from 3,187 theaters, reports Variety.com

AnnaSophia Robb shows off her pearly whites as she premieres her new flick, Race to Witch Mountain, at Hollywood’s El Captian Theater on Wednesday evening (March 11).
The 15-year-old actress plays Sara, one of two siblings in the movie who have supernatural powers, who team up with a Las Vegas cab driver (Dwayne Johnson) to save both of their worlds.
AnnaSophia dished to Girl’s Life mag about the first time her friends saw the trailer to Race. She shared, “The Race to Witch Mountain ad came on during the Super Bowl and, of course, the whole school watched it. By Monday, everyone had seen it. They didn’t act any different. It wasn’t like, ‘You are in a movie!’ It was just kind of like, ‘You worked with Dwayne Johnson — that is so cool! He is so hot!’”
Race to Witch Mountain hits theaters THIS Friday.

The 15-year-old actress, who stars as Sara in Race To Witch Mountain out this Friday, dishes about attending regular high school, her perseverance in acting, and kickboxing. Check it:
On her sport of choice, kickboxing: “Alexander Ludwig actually got me into it. I needed to do some sort of activity when we were on set because we would be sitting in the cab for days and days. [My friend and I] laugh at ourselves and have a good time with it.”
On her friends’ reactions of her being an actress (Note: AnnaSophia attends regular high school): “The Race to Witch Mountain ad came on during the Super Bowl and, of course, the whole school watched it. By Monday, everyone had seen it. They didn’t act any different. It wasn’t like, ‘You are in a movie!’ It was just kind of like, ‘You worked with Dwayne Johnson — that is so cool! He is so hot!’”
On realizing that every gig isn’t for her: “There are a bunch of different actors, and there are a bunch of different stories. I always look at it like flavors of ice cream or kinds of candy. They might be looking for one kind of candy and you’re a different kind, you know?”

Their secret journey begins in their hometown of Manteca, California (The Pumpkin Capital of the World). Their final destination: New York City (The Big Apple). Along the way they're robbed by a guy who looks like Warren Beatty and helped out by Max's Aunt Daisy, a vaudevillian contortionist who can fold herself into a bag. When Ellie loses all hope of ever finding her mother, Aunt Daisy pushes her onward to discover just what is waiting for her at Eleanor Roosevelt's house, and why this advent will not be the end of her journey, but just the beginning.

The 15-year-old actress stars as Sara, one of two siblings with paranormal powers. The movie is about a cab driver (Dwayne Johnson) who has to protect two siblings (Robb, Alexander Ludwig) with paranormal powers when they end up in his cab.
This specific trailer will air during the Super Bowl, this Sunday, February 1st. Race to Witch Mountain hits theaters on March 13th.
